FabLab Namibia will be launching its headquarters in Windhoek in 2012. Our tentative host institution is the Namibia Business Innovation Centre at Polytechnic of Namibia. FabLab Namibia is the child of Kirstin and Bjorn Wiedow. Bjorn is an Industrial Designer and I (Kirstin) am a fashion designer/stylist. We have recently relocated to Windhoek (Bjorns hometown) to start FabLab Namibia and are at the tail end of months of hard work, winding down the final negotiating and decisions on host institutions etc.
