My name is Raphael Demers, i'm Fab Manager at Fab Lab du PEC in Montreal. I've worked at echoFab, the first canadian fablab, for about 3 years, then switched to managing my own lab, Fab Lab du PEC. I'm also a fab academy 2015 graduate.
I love experimenting with machines and using them with old technologies.. mainly for artistic purposes.. mainly visual stuff. photography, cinema, printing, biology.
Lately I've been trying to drive machines (vinyl, cnc, etc.) directly from processing. had some success messing around window's print spooler.
I love my lab and I try to get people interested into "weird" things.. softrobots growing random plants like peanuts bought at the grocery store watching tardigrades wake up after entering dormance (takes 12 minutes)
