Next thing we learned to do was to programming an arduino. We programmed it to do all kind of things from the book Getting started with Arduino. At first our project was to let it turn on a light when a button was pressed. It worked out well and we turned it on and off a lot of times. When we had figure out the light system we desided to make sound. We got an Fluxamasynth Shield and it helped us to play midi sounds from our computer speaker. After we got everyone at the laboratory mad because of our horrible sounds, we desided to use our music talents and do something that people would listen to. We found a great great soundboard on the internet that helped us to program drum beats. On top of the Fluxamasynth Shield we put an Midi Shield so we could changes our beat. The shield has three buttons on it and two variable resistance. We programmed one of the resistance to change the beat of the drum. We defined five drum sounds, bassdrum, snare, hihat open, hihat close and hihat pedal. We set up an table and we defined how hard the "drummer" would hit the "drum" by numbers. This is the table:
