Getting my head around this wiki

Thanks for taking care of creating users. I'm a little confused, however, with the scope of this wiki and who maintains the content. A lot of the stuff here is general FabLab stuff that seems like it should be rather maintained somewhere centrally than on the Icelandic FabLab Wiki.

I can also not find a local place to discuss content, policies and such (like the MediaWiki projects I've taken part in). Could you tell me who best to chat to regarding the content here, and do you know whether the bulk of the current content just copied over from another wiki to provide an idea for the structure, or is the intention that it be maintained?

Hi Martin

this *is* the general FabLab wiki and it is maintained by the global community (or rather those within the community who care about maintaining it). Frosti has initially instigated us to do so, so he could be a good person to talk to. I am also closely monitoring what is going on here. You're right, there is no meta discussion, but you're welcome to start such a section. My guess, however, would be that it would remain relatively quiet ...

Hi,

I made a correction on the Fablab locations page as our Fablab had been removed by a competing Fablab (FabLab du PEC) by a user named Anthony. The fablab called iMuFab is still in operation but currently in the process of relocating to a new permanent location. We are currently working out of a temporary location. I don't think that this type of behaviour should be allowed on this wiki. Here is when the edit was done:

20:35, 2 August 2015‎ Anthony (Talk | contribs)‎ . . (80,273 bytes) (+35)‎ . . (Change email address of the DèmosLab because info@demoslab.org does not exist anymore, also removed th webpage(the page was dead). Change name of iMuFab to Fab Lab du PEC, same address, same Fab Lab, same Fab Manager(myself), just with a different name.)
