Karen van der Moolen (1981) works as project developer at Waag Society at projects with an Open Design and/or Open Data component.

From 2006-2009 she has been working for the most amazing streaming video website ever: www.fabchannel.com.

As project manager Research and Development she was responsible for development and management of Fabchannels national and international research projects dealing with i.e. video retrieval, social tagging, p2p distribution, legal and business development. Furthermore she worked with 10 renowned cultural institutions in Amsterdam to teach them how to produce streaming video and let it become art of their marketing and/or business strategy. In 2006 she graduated with a masters degree in New Media and Digital Culture at Utrecht University. In 2004 she graduated with a doctorandus degree in Intercultural Communications at Groningen University.
