I am a Ph.D. student within the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences (SENS), at the University of Iceland. I am currently working on a doctorate on hyperheuristcs under the guidance of Prof. Tomas Philip Runarsson. The main focus of the study is currently on Job Shop Scheduling Problems and how to automate the scheduling process using e.g. ordinal regression.

My research interests include evolutionary computation, heuristics, global optimization, statistical learning, and real world applications.

I also have a keen interest in teaching applied mathematics, and undertook a a graduate diploma alongside my Ph.D. studies in Teaching studies for higher education where I focused on Operations Research for second year undergraduate students in Industrial Engineering.

Extra curricular activities include KNITTING, sewing, general arts and crafts, occasional French lessons and googling cats.

Currently working on hiKnitterStream, which is hacking a knitting machine from the early 90s, Passap E6000, using #Knitterstream from https://github.com/borgstrom/KnitterStream as a guideline.
