I am a PhD candidate in sociology and am studying the dynamics of open design and open source hardware and how this extends the societal project of open source. I am also part of an initiative that aims to develop a FabLab in Karlsruhe, Germany. My work takes place at the Institute for Technology Assessment and Systemsanalysis in Karlsruhe.
