The Aachen Fab Lab opened in December 2009 as Germany's first Fab Lab. It is hosted by Prof.  Jan Borchers' Media Computing Group at RWTH Aachen University. It is a Mac-based fab lab, and offers professional-grade machines for 3D ABS printing, lasercutting, and PCB milling, with a focus on electronics and human-computer interaction.
