SketchUp is a 3D modeling program, mainly used for architectural, interior design and mechanical design. Sketchup has a paid and a free version available. The main difference between the 2 are the exporting capabilities.

To extent the possibility's of this program you can search in the 3D Warehouse, a online repository with free-of-charge model assemblies (e.g., windows, doors, automobiles etc.). All Sketchup users may contribute models here. And to make up for the lack of exporting capability's in the free version, you can have a look the Extension Warehouse for useful third-party plugins.
