Procedure for making simple molds
- Melt the Flexwax in a double boiler. When it is comepletely liquid, allow it to cool to a working temperaure of 52 °C.
- Apply vaseline sparingly overt the surface of the object for easy release.
- Brush liquid Flexwax over the surface carefully.
- After the intire area is coated, lay on pieces of net reinforcing material such as cheesecloth.
- Bruch second coat of Flexwax over the netting to the necessary thickness and allow it to cool.
- For larger pieces, make a saddle mold using plaster bondage.
- Remove the mold carefully and chill it by placeing it in a tub of cold water.
- Cast plaster, polyester or most any other material in the usual manner.
- After casting, the mold may be melted and reused.
