Sketch of my final project follows. I've been workign with Frosti Gíslason at the Fab Lab in the Westman Islands designing a multimedia square/interactive square. We've been brainstorming about 3 units, a bench that can record and play audio, a floor of interactive tiles and interactive columns (four are seen in this picutre). My project in the Fab Academy will be workin on the interactive columns, where the idea is that it will be equipped with sensors so that it will react to users movement, i.e. by playing audio.

I'm a multimediadesigner/journalist and run my own company Sigva Multimedia in the Westman Islands (Vestmannaeyjar). Currently most of my work is related to journalism, since I'm working as a correspondent for the Icelandic National Broadcasting Company (www.ruv.is), but I've worked in the field of journalism for 15 years in Iceland. I studied multimediadesign and computer sicence in Aarhus Univercity in Denmark from 2004 to 2008.

I'm born 1975 and have a wife and 3 kids.

Internationally I'm known as "Sigva", since it's not for everybody to pronounce my Icelandic name "Sighvatur" :)
