Carmelo De Maria, post-doc researcher at the research center E. Piaggio of University of Pisa, is one of the co-founder of FabLab Pisa. His research is focused on the use of rapid prototyping devices applied to tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. At present he is working on the fusion of different additive manufacturing technologies, such as hydrogel plotting, inkjet printing and electrospinning.
