Rolling pin and glass
Rolling pin and a drinking glass
Linda gave us an old rolling pin that we could engrave something on an also we had some drinking glasses here that hasn´t beeb rastered yet. So we decided to make the rolling pin together with Sanna and we designed the print together.
For the lasercutter you need to make some changes before you can work with round objects. The base needs to be changed to a special holder, so that the object will stay in it´s place. You then measure the higt from object to laser as you would normally do.
Next we measured the centre point. We also measured the widht and the length of the rolling pin. There was a little mistake with the lenght and the rastering went a bit too far. For next rolling pin I would make the image a bit shorter.
When all the settings are correct we started to raster the object. Settings we used was DPI 300, speed 60, power 100.
It looks quite allright even though it has a little measurement mistake :)
The other round object was a drinking glass. DPI 300, speed 25, power 100.
