Inkscape quick start guide

Common commands

Page Size: File-> Document Properties

• (px, mm, cm o.s.frv.)
• Width (vídd (x ás) (hægt að velja stærð og stærðarmælikvarða (px, mm, cm o.s.frv.)
• Height(hæð (y ás) (hægt að velja stærð og stærðarmælikvarða (px, mm, cm o.s.frv.)

Transform objects Object -> Transform

• (%, px, mm, cm o.s.frv.)
• (move)
• (Scale)
  • Scale proportionally
• (rotate) deg (gráður))

Fill and stroke Object -> Fill & Stroke

• Fylling inni í hlut: (Fill)
• Gerð útlína og litur: Stroke Paint
• Þykkt útlína: Stroke Style
  • Ath fyrir vektor skurð (skurð í gegnum efni í laser skera) þá þarf línan að vera skilgreind sem 0,01 mm á þykkt.

Import a bitmap bitmap, jpg or gif mynd og breyta í vektor

• Import image, File -> Import -> Open
• Choose Path -> Trace Bitmap

Using Inkscape with Vinyl Cutter

• Object -> Fill and Stroke -> Stroke paint set to Flat Color

If you have text in your file, you should convert it to path.

• Path -> Object to Path

And if you want to cut it out on the vinyl cutter

• File -> Print -> Preference -> Get data from Machine-> Ok

Using Inkscape with laser Cutter

• Object -> Fill and Stroke -> Stroke paint set to Flat Color -> Stroke Style set to 0,01 mm
