- Copper traces are the lines of copper that are left on the circuit board after milling it in the modela. The copper traces look like tracks running along the board, they connect all components to their appropriate counter components so that electricity freely flows through. The copper traces should not be touching one another after milling or be connected by a solder bride, otherwise the board will short out when connected to a power source.
