I received my BS degree in Electrical Engineering in June 2013 from LUMS School of Science and Engineering, a leading research university in Pakistan. My final year project was on Outlier/Event Detection, Identification and Localization in Wireless Sensor Networks during which I worked as a Research Assistant as well at Advanced Communications Research Laboratory (AdCom), LUMS under the supervision of Dr. Ijaz Haider Naqvi (PhD, INSA, France) under project SAHSE. I am currently working as a Research Associate in the same lab on the Design and Implementation of a Wireless Sensor Mote and Network using Commercial Off-the-Shelf Components and setting up a complete Wireless Sensor Network capable of Event Detection, Identification and Localization. My current research work in the area of Wireless Communication Systems and Networks is the energy and cost efficient design of protocols, algorithms and hardware in Wireless Sensor Networks. My primary interests include Wireless Communications Systems and Networks, Information Theory, Machine Learning, Signal Processing, Computer Vision, Computer Networks and Security, Internet of Things, Smart Grids, Digital and Embedded Systems Design.
